Hillary and Austin - Prom Photography, Smithfield, NC
I photographed Austin and Hillary before their prom(s) Thursday afternoon. I'm almost certain they go to different schools in our county, but I forgot to ask which dance they were going to attend. Check out Hillary's amazing dress. So pretty.

Senior Class of 2010 - North Carolina Senior Portrait Photographer
Yea yea, summer is here, and it's time for the new senior class to start thinking about portraits. Studio 310 has awesome specials again this year. Here are the deals:
•• We need students to be models this summer, so if you book your session before school starts back in August, you'll receive 50 free cards to give to friends when you head back to school.
•• These free cards are really good for you, because for every friend you refer to Studio 310 that books their session with us, you'll receive $25 off your order.
•• AND for every 3 friends you refer that book sessions, you'll be entered in a drawing for an iPod shuffle. (If you don't need the iPod, we'll figure out something equivalent for you--like a gift card.)
•• We'll probably have some runner-up prizes too--like iTunes gift cards--depending on how many people end up in the drawing.
So check out the video with senior portraits from Studio 310 and contact me if you'd like to book your session or you have any questions.
In case the video isn't showing up for you, or you're looking at this from facebook, here's the link: Vimeo
And if you want to see some blog entries with senior portraits, look here, and here. (the second link is a family session that we did along with a senior session.)

Mentoring Session - North Carolina Senior Portrait Photography
I had the privilege this spring of mentoring a Princeton High School senior, Sam, for her senior project. She wanted to learn about lighting, so she brought her cousin to model for us, and I brought some instruction on light. Coincidentally lighting is one of my favorite aspects of photography, so it worked out really well for both of us. I had so much fun teaching and experimenting and learning a lot from the practice too.

Sarah - Senior + Lifestyle Photography, Smithfield, NC
Last week I had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful high school senior with my friend Christina. We photographed all over downtown Smithfield--some places where I shoot a lot, and some completely new locations too. I loved it. Shooting in the new spots made me feel like I was in a different town. It was refreshing.
Here is a sneak peek from the session. You'll see more later this week.

Sarah's Senior Portraits
Sarah is a soon-to-be senior at Smithfield Selma High School. We recently did her photos in Downtown Smithfield, NC. My office and studio are downtown, and I'm there most week days, but I continue to find cool new places to shoot—seems like I would have seen everything by now. Nope. The proofs from the session are on the proof site.
I love photographing high school seniors. (I also love bridals, engagements, and weddings). I hope this love shows up when people see my work.

2009 Senior Portraits ~ Free Stuff
YEA!! School is officially out for the summer. Woo hoo. I know most of the high school students finished with exams last week sometime, but now everyone is for-real done for the year.
I’m so excited about photographing the rising seniors this summer. I’ve found an awesome new album company so I’m going to be offering some sweet memory books from your senior portrait sessions along with all the standard wall portraits and wallets for friends. And I’ve worked out some amazing promotions.
Basically, anyone can be a rep/ambassador or whatever other studios call it. I’m not doing an application/interview process—if you want to participate you can, or if you just want the great photography and products at great prices without being a part of the studio 310 “street team,” you can get that too. Either way you’ll be getting a excellent photography. So here’s the deal:
••• for every booked referral you get for Studio 310, you’ll get $25 off your order. There’s no limit on the number of referrals or discounts you can get.
••• help me with 20 bookings, and you’ll receive an iPod shuffle.
••• book 45 referrals, and you’ll get an iPod touch. Awesome.
So whether you refer 1 or 50 other students, I really appreciate your help and your business, and I think this is the best way I can say THANK YOU.
Just one more way to get free stuff—and this one is super easy. Contact me. Leave me a comment here, message me on facebook, become a fan on my facebook page, send me an email, call me, talk to me about booking your session . . . now through the end of June, and I’ll enter your name into a drawing for your choice of a $15 iTunes gift card or Starbucks gift card. Any photography related contact will count, and this one is for everybody (including all you other photographers = blog stalkers) or anyone reading this, not just the seniors and their parents.
I’m looking forward to hearing from everyone.
Memory Albums: (I swiped these images from the album company's website; they belong to another photographer. But I've ordered samples of the smaller album, and I'll make a sample of the bigger one after I shoot a few seniors this summer.)

Get a shuffle with 20 booked referrals.

45 booked referrals

Every time you contact me you get entered in the drawing.

May Eagle Scouts
I'm reposting a couple of these guys and adding some more. My most recent Eagle Scout shoot was with Will and Brian--brothers. Their Eagle ceremony was this past Saturday, so I photographed them a couple weeks ago. They ordered a wall portrait of the two together which looked AWESOME!! I always enjoy working with high school students; I'm looking forward to senior portrait sessions this summer.

SSS Prom
I'm so not great at keeping up with this blogging thing. I've had so many shoots in the last month, so hopefully I can get some new images posted soon.
A month ago I shot mostly SSS seniors before their prom at Eason's house outside of Smithfield. It was super windy that day, so any clouds that might have been hanging out that morning, were long gone by the time we were ready for photos that afternoon. Such a sunny blue sky.
I've been spoiled the past couple years getting to shoot these pretty girls with their great taste in dresses. Everyone looked gorgeous!!
